Training & Development Manager

Working hours: Full time (37 hours per week to be worked flexibly some evening and weekend work)
Based: Flexible
Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 depending on experience
Swim Wales is offering an exciting opportunity to join their Business Development team.

Why join Swim Wales as a Training & Development Manager?

To be part of the next step for Swim Wales at an exciting stage in its future. You will join a great team and contribute new ideas to operate and build the Swim Wales’ training and development programme.
By developing, promoting and managing the Swim Wales training and development offering for all disciplines of Swim Wales through market research, analysis and identifying new business opportunities within the aquatic education sector, you will be responsible for coaching coaches to coach and teachers to teach. You will be a British Swimming qualified tutor and be experienced of managing mentoring schemes. As well as managing the programme, you will be expected to be capable of delivering a number of courses throughout the year and of mentoring other tutors.

Additionally, you will need to be able to develop strong and engaging relationships with local authorities, swimming clubs and swim schools throughout Wales, together with all internal and other external stakeholders. Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint is expected.

You will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and good project management, negotiation, presentation, and problem solving skills. Key requirements are for you to be a proactive and a focused individual. You will be a self-starter and ideally have a passion for sport. You will be able to identify a return on investment for the training provided and budget management is also required.

You must hold a valid DBS certificate.
