The Football Association of Wales (FAW) is seeking to appoint a Corporate Communications Executive. The FAW is the governing body of football in Wales and is responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels from grassroots through to the professional game, including the Welsh Premier League and all international squads.

Role Purpose

The Corporate Communications Executive sits within the Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement Department of the FAW and reports directly to the Head of Public Affairs. The role of Corporate Communications Executive is to act as the main point of contact for all stakeholders and to provide support to the Head of Department and others in the FAW communications team.

Responsibilities

• Input into the design, development and implementation of a long term corporate communications strategy
• Support the written communication process on all platforms
• To produce corporate communications including internal newsletters ,the FAW annual reports, written communications to all stakeholder groups including the Welsh Government.
• Monitor and evaluate internal and external communications effectiveness and continually amend to reflect stakeholder and audience requirements
• To create media content and support social media output – ensuring that internal and external communications are relevant and up to date
• To oversee the maintenance of branding guidelines
• Develop and deliver a regular flow of news using the key business events calendar
• Researching pro-active story ideas, case studies and comment pieces
• To write content for the FAW website
• Produce corporate communications including internal newsletters etc.
• To assist in co-ordinating public relation activities to promote the FAW, the teams and related activities, i.e. press releases, organising press conferences etc.
• Research and responding to press enquiries, ensuring that media sign-off protocols are adhered
• Manage and develop in-house communications and publications
• Provide proofreading, editing and communications advice and services to internal colleagues and customers
• To perform other duties as required/assigned by Departmental Managers

Skills & Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for all aspects of Welsh football.
• Experience of appropriate software packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver presentations.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Demonstrate flexibility.
• Show willingness to learn.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• The ability to deal with difficult matters professionally and in confidence.
• The ability to work as part of a team but also without supervision.
• To work outside of normal working hours.
• Knowledge of domestic football in Wales.
• Knowledge of football throughout the UK and Europe (advantageous).
• The ability to speak Welsh (advantageous).

The position is based at the FAW Offices in Cardiff. The post holder will be required at times to perform their duties or additional work or attend training outside of normal office hours and/or in different locations, either domestically or internationally, at the discretion of the Head of Public Affairs.

Pwrpas rôl Swyddog Gweithredol Cyfathrebu Corfforaethol yw cefnogi’r Pennaeth Adran ac eraill o fewn tîm cyfathrebu CBDC.

 

Cyfrifoldebau

 

  • Bwydo i mewn i ddylunio, datblygiad a gweithrediad strategaeth cyfathrebu gorfforaethol hir dymor
  • Cefnogi’r broses o gyfathrebu ysgrifenedig dros bob platfform
  • Cynhyrchu cyfathrebu corfforaethol er mwyn cefnogi ymgyrchoedd mewnol ac allanol y CBDC
  • Arolygi a dadansoddi perfformiad cyfathrebu mewnol ac allanol a diwygio yn barhaus er mwyn adlewyrchu gofynion cynulleidfa a rhanddeiliaid
  • Creu cynnwys cyfryngau a chefnogi allbwn cyfryngau cymdeithasol – gan sicrhau bod y cyfryngau mewnol ac allanol yn berthnasol ac mewn dyddiad
  • Goruchwylio dilyniant a chynhaliaeth canllawiau brand.
  • Datblygu a darparu llif cyson o newyddion gan ddefnyddio’r calendr digwyddiadau busnes allweddol
  • Ymchwilio annibynnol wrth greu syniadau a storïau newydd, astudiaethau achos a darnau barn
  • Ysgrifennu cynnwys ar gyfer gwefan CBDC
  • Cynhyrchu cyfathrebu corfforaethol gan gynnwys cylchlythyron mewnol ac yn y blaen.
  • Cynorthwyo’r broses o gydlynu gweithgareddau cysylltiadau cyhoeddus i hyrwyddo CBDC, y timau a’r holl weithgareddau perthnasol, h.y datganiadau’r wasg, trefnu cynadleddau’r wasg ayyb.
  • Ymchwilio ac ymateb i ymholiadau’r wasg gan gydymffurfio â phrotocolau cadarnhau cyfryngau
  • Rheoli a datblygu cyfryngau a chyhoeddiadau mewnol
  • Cynorthwyo ym mhob agwedd o weithrediad y wasg effeithiol mewn gemau
  • Darparu gwasanaeth prawf ddarllen, gwirio a darparu cyngor a gwasanaethau cyfathrebu i gyfoedion a chwsmeriaid
  • Perfformio dyletswyddau eraill fel yr angen yn unol â chyfarwyddiadau Rheolwyr Adrannol

  • Addysg i lefel gradd neu brofiad gwaith cyfatebol.
  • Gwybodaeth a brwdfrydedd am bob agwedd o bêl-droed Cymru.
  • Profiad o’r pecynnau meddalwedd priodol.
  • Sgiliau cyfathrebu ysgrifenedig ac ar lafar gwych.
  • Gallu gwneud cyflwyniadau.
  • Rhaid cael lefel uchel o hunan-ysgogiad.
  • Arddangos hyblygrwydd.
  • Dangos parodrwydd i ddysgu.
  • Arddangos sylw i fanyldeb.
  • Sgiliau trefnu ardderchog.
  • Gallu delio gyda materion anodd yn broffesiynol ac yn hyderus.
  • Gallu gweithio fel rhan o dîm ond hefyd heb oruchwyliaeth.
  • Gweithio tu allan i oriau gwaith arferol.
  • Gwybodaeth o bêl-droed domestig yng Nghymru.
  • Gwybodaeth o bêl-droed drwy’r DU ac Ewrop (manteisiol).
  • Gallu siarad Cymraeg (manteisiol).

 

Mae’r swydd wedi’i leoli yn swyddfeydd CBDC yng Nghaerdydd. Ar brydiau bydd rhaid i ddeiliaid y swydd gwblhau eu dyletswyddau, gwaith ychwanegol neu fynychu hyfforddiant tu allan i oriau gwaith arferol a/neu mewn gwahanol leoliadau, ym Mhrydain neu dramor, yn ôl disgresiwn y Pennaeth Materion Cyfoes.

 

Cyfle Cyfartal

 

Mae cyfle cyfartal yn rhan annatod o bob agwedd o CBDC gan gynnwys apwyntiadau. Bydd egwyddorion cystadleuaeth deg ac agored yn cael eu gweithredu a bydd apwyntiadau’n cael eu gwneud ar sail teilyngdod.

 

Ceisiadau

 

  • Dyddiad cau ar gyfer ceisiadau yw Dydd Gwener, Hydref 20.
  • Ni fydd ceisiadau a dderbynnir ar ôl y dyddiad cau yn cael eu hystyried.
  • Dylai ceisiadau gynnwys llythyr yn amlinellu pam fod yr ymgeisydd yn credu eu bod yn addas ar gyfer y swydd ynghyd â CV.
  • Dylid anfon ceisiadau at IGHughes@faw.co.uk gyda thestun yr e-bost wedi’i nodi’n glir: Swyddog Gweithredol Cyfathrebu Corfforaethol
  • Bydd cyfweliadau’n cael eu cynnal yn Swyddfeydd CBDC, Caerdydd.
  • Bydd apwyntiad yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn ddibynnol ar wiriad DSB/CRB manwl a dau eirda proffesiynol/personol, at foddhad CBDC.

 

**mae’r swydd yn ddarostyngedig i gyfnod prawf 6 mis ac mae gan y CBDC yr hawl i ymestyn y cyfnod hwn.
