Training & Development Manager

 

 

Working hours:  Full time (37 hours per week to be worked flexibly some evening and weekend work)

Based: Flexible

Salary:  Competitive

Swim Wales is offering an exciting opportunity to join their Business Development team.

To be part of the next step for Swim Wales at an exciting stage in its future. You will join a great team and contribute new ideas to manage and develop the Swim Wales’ training and development business.  

By owning, promoting and managing the Swim Wales training and development offering for all disciplines of Swim Wales through market research, analysis and identifying new business opportunities within the aquatic education sector, you will be responsible for training, developing and supporting the aquatic workforce across Wales.  You will be   confident in presenting and delivery skills and be experienced in managing training programmes and key stakeholders.

Additionally, you will need to be able to develop strong and engaging relationships with local authorities, swimming clubs and swim schools throughout Wales, together with all internal and other external stakeholders. Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and

Powerpoint is expected with ambitions for wider use of technology in future provision.

You will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and good project management, negotiation, presentation, and problem solving skills. Key requirements are for you to be a proactive and a focused individual. You will be a selfstarter and ideally have a passion for sport. You will be able to identify a return on investment for the training provided and budget management and business planning is also required.

You must hold a valid DBS certificate.
