DESCRIPTION:\nThe 2022 Cardiff Cross Challenge will be a World Athletics Cross Country Tour Gold Label Event!\n\n\n\nRegister to take part on the Cardiff Cross Challenge website here!\n\n\n\nThe Cardiff Cross Challenge was founded in 1997, and took place inside the Castle walls for two years, since then it has grown into one of the most prestigious Cross Country events in the UK.\n\n\n\nThe event regularly hosts Inter-area matches, and has held Home Country International’s on numerous occasions. In 2000 we played host to the AAA Inter-Counties Championships which now takes place annually in Birmingham.\n\n\n\nIn 2021 our race attained a prestigious Gold Label as the season opener in the World Athletics Cross Country Tour.\n\n\n\nThe 2022 event takes place on Saturday 15th October in Llandaff Fields, just north of the City Centre and alongside the River Taff and, this time we will be looking to bring a selection of the world’s top Cross Country performers to compete.\n\n\n\nAll races are fully marshalled, and the course is marked to national standards.\n\n\n\nSt John Ambulance will be in attendance. A Sports shop and Catering facilities will be available.
