SUMMARY:Disability Jiujitsu Training Camp
DESCRIPTION:\nThe UKBJJA, the National Governing Body for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is proud to event this tailored BJJ seminar.\n\n\n\nDesigned to cater specifically to people with disabilities this event is designed to create an inclusive space and caters to those with physical disabilities and neurodiverse individuals.\n\n\n\nThis event is open to both experienced and new BJJ practitioners. However this event is strictly age 16+.\n\n\n\nCarers/parents/ guardians are welcome to join in to assist the participants. All activity is taking place on thick mats, we ask that you remove your shoes whilst participating, other rules may apply by the venue.\n\n\n\nAgenda for the day\n\n\n\nAttendees can expect a relaxed environment with two seminars taking place. Participation in the seminars is completely optional depending on experience and abilities.\n\n\n\nLeading the seminar will be two guest instructors; Sam Kaye and Dan Strauss.\n\n\n\nThe seminars will be followed with an open mat, during which you can take as many breaks as needed.\n\n\n\nOur Disability Officer Gina Hopkins will be available for support and to meet attendees on the day.\n\n\n\nAccessibility accommodations\n\n\n\nThere is a car park with disabled parking at the front of Sport Wales National Centre, parking is on a first come first serve basis and is free while using the centre.\n\n\n\nWe have done our very best to make this a fully accessible event and cater to a variety of individual needs.\n\n\n\nAttendees must be able to transfer onto the mats without mechanical assistance.\n\n\n\nIf this is a concern for those willing to attend then please contact us directly and we will do our best to find a solution.\n\n\n\nFor any concerns and more information please contact Disability@UKBJJA.org    \n\n\n\nClick here for full details and to book your place!\n
