DESCRIPTION:\n“National School Sports Week is back for 2023, and this year we want to make sure that all children in the UK are active for the Chief Medical Officers’ recommended minimum time of 60 minutes a day. That’s why this year, along with our campaign partner Sports Direct, we’re asking you to ‘play for fun, play for 60’!“\n\n\n\n        – Youth Sport Trust\n\n\n\nSchool sport should be an important part of every child’s education and development – every child should feel they have a place to belong.\n\n\n\nBut for too many children this isn’t happening. They are left feeling alienated by sport, that it isn’t for them and they don’t have a place within it.\n\n\n\nAfter the huge disruption of the past two years, the inequalities in young people’s health and activity levels have got worse.\n\n\n\nThere is so much that all young people can gain from school sport – connecting with others, developing important life skills and improving both their physical and mental health.\n\n\n\nJoin us this National School Sport Week in our drive to make sure that, when it comes to school sport, there is a place for every child.\n\n\n\nHead to the Youth Sport Trust website to learn more and to find out how to get involved!\n
