SUMMARY:Welsh National Tennis Championships
DESCRIPTION:\nTennis Wales confirmed the tournament will be held at both Penarth Windsor Lawn Tennis Club and Penarth Lawn Tennis Club between August 20-28.\n\n\n\nThe tournament, which has been running for over 40 years, was initially set to be held in Penarth in 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic put those plans on hold.\n\n\n\nThis year, a visually impaired event will be introduced to the tournament for the first time as well as a wheelchair event.\n\n\n\nThe itinerary for this year’s championships includes singles and doubles events for Juniors aged eight to 18 years old; mixed doubles for Juniors and Adults; and Senior singles and doubles events for 65 years and over.\n\n\n\nPlayers will have a six-week window to sign up for the tournament via the Tennis Wales website and the organisation predicts nearly 400 people will enter.
