Here are the DBS ID Verification Documents required for the process:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Route 1<strong><u><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The applicant must be able to show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>one document from Group 1, below<\/li><li>2 further documents from either Group 1, or Group 2a or 2b, below<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At least one of the documents must show the applicant\u2019s current address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the applicant isn\u2019t a national of the UK or the EEA and is applying for voluntary work, they may need to be fingerprinted if they can\u2019t show these documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Route 2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Route 2 can only be used if it\u2019s impossible to process the application through Route 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the applicant isn\u2019t a national of the UK or the EEA and is applying for voluntary work, they can\u2019t use Route 2. If the applicant doesn\u2019t have any of the documents in Group 1, then they must be able to show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>one document from Group 2a<\/li><li>2 further documents from either Group 2a or 2b<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At least one of the documents must show the applicant\u2019s current address. The organisation conducting their ID check must then also use an appropriate external ID validation service to check the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EEA nationals who\u2019ve been resident in the UK for 5 years or less may need to be fingerprinted if they can\u2019t show these documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Group 1: Primary identity documents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><td><strong>Document<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Passport<\/td><td>Any current and valid passport<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Biometric residence permit<\/td><td>UK<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Current driving licence photocard &#8211; (full or provisional)<\/td><td>UK, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and EEA. From 8 June 2015, the paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence will not be valid and will no longer be issued by DVLA<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Birth certificate &#8211; issued within 12 months of birth<\/td><td>UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands &#8211; including those issued by UK authorities overseas, for example embassies, High Commissions and HM Forces<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Adoption certificate<\/td><td>UK and Channel Islands<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Group 2a: Trusted government documents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><td><strong>Document<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Current driving licence photocard &#8211; (full or provisional)<\/td><td>All countries outside the EEA (excluding Isle of Man and Channel Islands)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Current driving licence (full or provisional) &#8211; paper version (if issued before 1998)<\/td><td>UK, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and EEA<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Birth certificate &#8211; issued after time of birth<\/td><td>UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Marriage\/civil partnership certificate<\/td><td>UK and Channel Islands<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Immigration document, visa or work permit<\/td><td>Issued by a country outside the EEA.
