The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) has seen considerable growth in recent years – both in terms of membership numbers and in the variety of services that we are able to provide for our members.<\/h3>\n

As we look to continue our upward trend of diversifying our income and providing the best value for our members, we are seeking to recruit two board directors at our forthcoming Annual General Meeting in July.<\/p>\n

The successful candidates will understand how sport contributes to the well-being of people in Wales through education, health and community policies. An awareness of the current political and policy landscape in Wales would also be advantageous.<\/p>\n

Previous board experience is desirable but not essential, as we believe candidates who have not previously served on a board role should still be able to demonstrate the skills and competencies necessary to contribute to the WSA’s strategic growth.<\/p>\n

Following a comprehensive board skills audit, the organisation is seeking individuals with specific skills and knowledge in one or more of the following fields:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Business Development\/ Commercial Partnerships
\n\u2022 Human Resources
\n\u2022 Marketing
\n\u2022 Governance
\n\u2022 Health Sector<\/p>\n

To be eligible for election you must be nominated by a Full Member of the WSA.\u00a0We are committed to equality of opportunity and the formation of a balanced, inclusive and skilled board. We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities, individuals from Black and Minority Ethnic communities, women and young people.<\/p>\n
