Board members Jon Morgan, Ffion Lloyd and Robert James were also re-elected to the nine-strong team, making it the most skills diverse board in the organisation’s history.<\/p>\n
Fergus Feeney has a strong commercial background and has worked with boards across both public and private sectors. He currently sits on the Swim Wales and the British Swimming Boards of Directors, and brings specialisms in business development, sales & marketing, operational delivery and organisational transformation.<\/p>\n
Speaking after his election to the board, Fergus Feeney said:<\/p>\n
“My positions with Swim Wales, British Swimming and on the National Governing Body CEO Forum have helped develop a clear understanding of how sport contributes to the well-being of people in Wales across many policy areas. I believe my role as \u2018Independent Oversight for Paralympic Performance\u2019 has also given me invaluable access and awareness of the ways in which elite sport success contributes to a strong sport sector and the current political and policy landscape in Wales, and the UK as a whole.<\/p>\n
I am very passionate about the WSA’s role in empowering its membership to be stronger, more successful and sustainable businesses, and look forward to supporting the management of the WSA in leading advocacy on behalf of the members.”<\/p>\n
Helen Humphrey, WSA Chair said:<\/p>\n
