- Understand The Rules Of The Game 2019 – LawInSport Annual Conference »
It can take years for an organisation to build its reputation, yet a crisis can very quickly destroy all that hard work. With reputation being one of the most valuable assets and yet the most easily targeted, every organisation needs to consider how to protect themselves when a threat arises. This introductory seminar is essential for those managing the reputation of any business to avoid a crisis spreading.
This will be a non-sector-specific session that will aim to equip organisations with knowledge and tools to safeguard their reputation, manage a crisis and deal with social media ‘trolls’.
Why should you attend?
This interactive half-day training session is designed to provide guidance on how to navigate the rocky road of a crisis or threat to your reputation. The session will cover the following topics; there will also be opportunities to put your knowledge into practice with case studies:
- when you could seek an injunction;
- managing problems with social media;
- an introduction to the law of defamation;
- dealing with negative press coverage;
- how to avoid data breaches and how to manage them if they occur; and
- dealing with regulators

- 11:00 Coffee break
- 12:45 Q&A, summary and closing remarks

Please be aware that places for this seminar are limited. Our clients get priority over non-clients, but we will endeavour to increase capacity where we can to allow all those who wish to attend a place. Where we are heavily oversubscribed, we will limit places to one or two people per organisation, in which case you may be asked to liaise with your team. Should we have to do any of the above, we will be in touch with you at least two weeks before the event date.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions? Please email us at email@example.com and a member of our events team will be in touch.
Can I invite my colleagues to this event? Feel free to forward an invitation to any of your colleagues you believe can benefit from attending.
I want to attend but can’t make the date/s. Will you repeat this?
Even though we may not repeat this specific seminar, we hold lots of other events that may be of relevance to you, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your chosen areas of interest.
