Hodge Bakshi helps Hoci Cymru meet its audit requirements
WSA member Hoci Cymru has recently utilised Hodge Bakshi to complete its audit requirements. Cardiff-based Hodge Bakshi believe an audit should provide more than compliance – it should give organisations confidence, clarity and a constructive experience throughout the process.
They recently completed the statutory audit for Hoci Cymru, working closely with their team to deliver an efficient and collaborative audit while ensuring all statutory requirements were met.
They met with CEO Paul Whapham and the team at Hoci Cymru’s offices on several occasions throughout the audit. Taking the time to work alongside the team in person helped Hodge Bakshi better understand the organisation, build strong working relationships and create an open, collaborative audit process.
As a Cardiff-based firm, they are always delighted to support organisations within the local community. Building strong working relationships and providing a personal, hands-on service is at the heart of how they work.
James Burnett, Audit Director, Hodge Bakshi stated:
“Our goal is always to deliver more than just a statutory audit. By working closely with our clients, we can provide a smooth, transparent process while giving them confidence in their financial reporting and governance.
“From our first meeting, the Hoci Cymru team were open, engaged and committed to working in partnership with us. That approach allowed us to develop a strong understanding of the organisation and build a positive working relationship throughout the audit.”
Paul Whapham, CEO of Hoci Cymru, commented:
“We’re grateful to have experienced an efficient and collaborative process thanks to Hodge Bakshi.
“They took the time to get to know hockey and how we operate, delivering to our very strict deadline; we were delighted with the support offered.
“We’d also like to offer a huge thank you to the WSA Finance Plus team for their robust and timely responses to our queries throughout the process. Their knowledge and expertise, as well as their understanding of the intricacies of our sport, meant that the accounts were signed off with no amendments, and with no member queries at AGM either.”
