About the Welsh Sports Association – WSA

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is the membership body for the sport and physical activity sector in Wales.

As the independent voice of Welsh sport and physical activity, the WSA champions the sector through advocacy, collaboration and development, ensuring that its member organisations delivering sport and physical activity have the support, influence and opportunities they need to thrive.

The WSA focuses on helping members build stronger organisations, access high-quality services, develop new partnerships, and increase their impact in communities across Wales.

The WSA has 150 member organisations across sport and physical activity, including National Governing Bodies, Sports Governing Bodies, Regional Sports Partnerships, Professional Clubs, Sporting Charities, Trusts & Foundations, Health & Wellbeing Organisations, Local Authorities, Leisure Trusts, Community Associations, Educational Establishments and Commercial Businesses.

In recognition of their founder member status, Welsh Governing Bodies of Sport are permitted to share their member benefits, with their own non-for-profit member clubs.
