Coronavirus Update – 8th October 2021
Following a vote in the Senedd last week, Covid passes have been introduced for larger events in Wales.
Outdoor mass participation sporting events have been exempted from the scheme, and there are some exemptions to the rules around indoor events as to when athletes count towards the limit at which Covid passes are legally required.
Event organisers and venue operators may continue to take additional steps above and beyond the legal minimums in place from Monday. Please encourage participants, volunteers etc to check ahead of time.

Wales will stay at Alert Level 0 for at least the next three weeks, with no additional measures expected to be put in place.
In addition, travel to and from the UK will be eased on Monday, with a substantial number of countries being removed from the red list, see here for more: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-list-of-countries-and-territories.
