St John Ambulance Cymru provides first aid treatment, training, and transport for communities across Wales.
St John Ambulance Cymru is also Wales’ leading workplace first aid training provider, offering a wide range of courses covering workplace first aid, health & safety, and mental health first aid at work training. Thousands of businesses and members of the public enjoy first-class training each year.
In addition to training, they offer a wide choice of supplies, specialising in medical rooms, sports first aid kits and grab bags.
Training St John Ambulance Cymru offers a 1-day Sports First Aid course that is suitable for anyone involved in any sport in any capacity. On this course you can learn the basic first aid and how to treat common sports injuries. If your needs are more specific, they can also arrange bespoke sports first aid training tailored to your requirements and individual sport.
First aid support for training and events is a high priority for sports organisations across Wales and with this, we are pleased to confirm a fantastic offering for our WSA members nationwide. These include:
- 20% discount across all courses at St John Ambulance Cymru centres

Events
St John Ambulance Cymru is Wales’s leading provider of medical event cover, providing a complete medical service for many small, medium and large events in Wales. St John Ambulance Cymru will tailor the medical cover specifically to your event and will ensure that the cover is risk assessed and compliant with the requirements of national recommendations and standards.
St John Ambulance Cymru attends events including Newport Full Marathon, Swansea & Cardiff Half Marathons, as well as the URDD & National Eisteddfods. We also provide event cover at the Principality Stadium.
St John Ambulance Cymru members include health care professionals and advanced first aid practitioners who can provide medical expertise for events that necessitate it.
St John Ambulance Cymru also has a fleet of vehicles ranging from ambulances, rapid response vehicles and motorbikes along with treatment centres and mobile first aid posts.
