Mudiad Meithrin recommend WSA DBS checking service to their membership base

Welsh Sports Association (WSA) members Mudiad Meithrin will recommend the WSA’s bilingual DBS checking service to their affiliated members.

Mudiad Meithrin strives to offer every child in Wales the opportunity to play, learn and grow in Welsh, birth to school-age.

As a voluntary organisation passionate about celebrating and encouraging the use of the Welsh language, they have grown considerably over the years and continue to positively influence the lives of children in Wales.

The WSA is delighted that Mudiad Meithrin will now recommend its DBS service to the breadth of their own membership base.

The WSA DBS service boasts a number of benefits, including the fact that it is Wales’ only bilingual service of the kind – even providing a bilingual helpline for users!

The WSA also strive to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy sport and physical activity in a safe and assured environment – it is vital that language does not represent a barrier to this.

The WSA DBS service is also brilliantly efficient, courtesy of its total digitalisation, as well as one of the most cost-effective on the market – with just a £5.50 admin fee per check and a member discount on that, which Mudiad Meithrin will benefit from!

The service has been tested by both the Home Office and Ministry of Justice, while also being endorsed by the NSPCC and the Welsh Government. So, whether you’re a member like Mudiad Meithrin or one of the many non-members that utilise the system, you can rest assured that the service is up-to-date and of the highest quality.

Head of Operations at Mudiad Meithrin, Rhys Jones, has commented:

“It’s pleasing to finally be able to recommend this excellent service to our members so they can enjoy cheaper checks, a bilingual system and support line – all from a Wales-based provider.”

Meanwhile, Commercial Manager at the WSA, Tom Sharp, added:

“We’re delighted that Rhys and the team at Mudiad Meithrin have opted to utilise our DBS checking service.

“We’re keen to ensure our members have the ability to deliver their activities in a safe and assured environment and are pleased that we can provide this in Welsh as well as saving the organisation funds in the process!”
