WSA CEO, Andrew Howard, commented:

“Data protection and compliance have become increasingly crucial with the rapid digital transformation of businesses. Our member organisations must ensure that their employees are well-versed in the latest regulations to prevent data breaches and other legal issues.

“By consistently reinforcing the significance of data protection and compliance through training and education, organisations can build a strong foundation for safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining the trust of their members and other stakeholders.

“The WSA strives to support members and the wider sport and leisure sector to be as resilient and prosperous as possible, which is why we are delighted to be able to offer this CPD opportunity and others on the Platform, at cost-effective rates to enable the sector to develop.”

The course comprises of a single mandatory course module that focus on a range of key elements, and helps individuals understand how these might be applied to their organisations.

Once you have completed this you’ll be able to take part in a simple assessment that will help you check your understanding of the subject, as is the case with all other courses on the WSA Online Training Platform. Upon successful completion of this assessment, you will receive a certificate from the WSA.

The Online Training Platform is designed to support colleagues across sport and leisure to participate in accredited professional development, building resilience and aiding development across our sector.
