Safeguarding and Protecting Children – Snowsport Wales

This Online Classroom delivered by UK Coaching will raise your awareness of the tell-tale signs of abuse, and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively should the need ever arise in your coaching career.

This interactive online classroom, delivered via Webex, will help recognise poor practice and the red flags of abuse, while also prompting a review of your coaching practice to ensure that you provide a positive and enriching experience for all children.

The course has been awarded 3 CPD points by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).

It is a required training for anyone wishing to be licenced as a coach or instructor and for Club Welfare Officers.

The training should be updated or renewed every 3 years.

The online course is also available to Snowsport Cymru Wales members at a subsidised rate of £15 per person if in a role as Club Welfare Officer or as a Coach, instructor or official. Contact [email protected] to book your reduced cost place.
