Wales Women v Slovenia – FIFA World Cup Qualifying

Wales’ women cap off their FIFA World Cup qualifying journey this September, travelling to Greece before finishing things off by welcoming Slovenia at the Cardiff City Stadium on the evening of Tuesday 6th September.

It’s a pivotal time for Cymru’s ladies, who currently sit second in Group I behind already-qualified France who reached the final four of this summer’s European Championships, as they boast a three-point gap over penultimate opponents Greece and sit just two points above final adversaries Slovenia – it couldn’t be tighter.

Cymru need to best September’s two opponents’ final rankings and claim second place in Group I in order to make it through to the World Cup play-offs, to be played in October, with a chance of making it to the 2023 tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
