Welsh Fire vs Northern Superchargers – The Hundred Men’s

The Hundred returns for its second edition this August!

Welsh Fire are the only Wales-based team of the eight in the competition and, after their seventh-placed finish last time out, will be hoping for a much better innings this time around.

The Fire play their final home fixture of the group stage as they welcome Northern Superchargers for the penultimate matchday, before capping off this year’s Hundred group with a trip to Trent Rockets.

The Superchargers enjoyed a very middle-of-the-road campaign last year, finishing fifth in the group. Welsh Fire, who by comparison finished one-but-last place last year, will be looking to overcome this opposition once again, having beaten the Superchargers by five runs in July 2021.

There will be some giants of the cricketing world on show in this one, with fans able to once again see the likes of Jonny Bairstow and Ollie Pope in action for the hosts and names like Faf Du Plessis, Adil Rashid (who took the joint-most wickets in last year’s The Hundred), and England skipper Ben Stokes for the side based at Headingley!
