Junior Darts Corporation join WSA as Associate Member
The WSA is thrilled to announce that the Junior Darts Corporation has joined the membership base as an Associate Member.
The JDC is the only recognised global organisation for junior darts in communities and events, offering pathways and opportunities in the sport for thousands of children.
The organisation is key in supporting the development of some of the best young darts players in the world, running a number of tours, competitions and an inclusive community academy system to provide a structured platform for children to enjoy the sport on a global level, and even progress to the professional level.
There have been several world-class players to come through the JDC circuit, including current PDC World Champion Luke Littler who, at still such a young age, continues to rack up the titles. In his time playing the JDC circuit, Littler won the JDC World Darts Championship back-to-back in December 2022 & 2023.
As a Member of the WSA, the JDC will look to collaborate amongst our extensive network of sporting organisations as well as utilise services such as the Safeguarding Plus offer.

This is a vital area of work for the JDC, having recently named Jamie Cooper as Safeguarding Lead for the organisation.
The JDC is striving to ensure that, as an organisation, it has everything in place to deliver safe, effective and enjoyable events, school visits, training days, academy sessions, coaching and more. It is also committed to finding the balance on what it expects of affiliated academies at which young darts players play and develop.
The WSA and its Safeguarding Manager will work closely with the JDC to support in realising this mission and disseminating learning and advice to the JDC’s global academy system.
Commenting on joining the WSA, JDC CEO, Darren Barson, commented:
“We are delighted to be an affiliate member of the WSA and recognise the support and skill base the WSA can offer in our relationship together. We are focused on delivering the safest and assured route for children to participate in all areas of the JDC. This relationship will encourage and upskill knowledge in many areas that will ultimately benefit the children, our academy coaches and volunteers who make things happen for the children day in day out.”
