Rubicon Dance WSA Membership Testimonial

Centre Co-Ordinator at Rubicon Dance, Adam Lloyd-Binding, has revealed why his organisation originally signed up for Welsh Sports Association (WSA) membership, and how they have benefitted since:

We were recommended to join up by the WSA’s Policy and Communications Manager Matt Williams, who is also on our Board of Trustees.

Since registering as members, the WSA has helped us sharpen up our policies and procedures. We’ve been in business as a charity for over 45 years, and therefore have had a lot of structures in place.

What the WSA has been able to do is to act as a sounding board and give practical advice as to how to make policies relevant and how to implement them; we’ve been able to bring policies, procedures and structures up to date, confident in the fact that they are being used and implemented by complimentary and partner organisations.

Adam continued to detail some other services Rubicon Dance have made use of, as well as revealing if he’d recommend membership to other bodies in the sporting sector:

Elsewhere, we’ve had a lot of advice around COVID-19 protocols and risk assessments which were hugely valuable while we’ve also made use of their partner offer with St John’s Ambulance Cymru – we’ve taken advantage of the discounted rate to book our First Aid and Safety training.

I’d absolutely recommend the WSA to peer organisations; being able to email in with an enquiry and get a precise, speedy reply from a bank of experts is invaluable!
