University of South Wales WSA Membership Testimonial

University of South Wales Head of Sport, Steve Savage, has spoken to the WSA about his organisation’s decision to become – and the results of being – a member:

Steve Savage, Head of Sport at University of South Wales

We were attracted to becoming members after being in contact with the WSA team as well as conferring with colleagues within the University sector. The vast networking opportunities and expertise available really pulled us in.

Steve continued to reveal that the University enrolled as members at a very crucial time:

We started our membership in the academic year that the COVID-19 Pandemic started which was great timing (not the Pandemic!), as the level of support, guidance and shared information to navigate through the ever-changing COVID journey was excellent from the WSA team.

We were given excellent support in interpreting Welsh Government guidance as well as aid relating to the sporting sector, and in our case Higher Education, which helped save time but also provided confidence given the expertise and experience provided by the network.

We’re pleased to say that Steve wouldn’t hesitate in referring prospective members to the WSA:

Our experience with the WSA has been excellent and I would absolutely recommend membership; they’re good people who always try to find solutions to the challenges presented to their members.
