Sustainable Branding with WSA partner Harlequin
Welsh Sports Association (WSA) members can take advantage of our partnership with Harlequin to reduce waste and boost sustainable practises when it comes to printing and branding.
The WSA is working alongside Harlequin to make sustainability part of how we print, promote, and present sports, and we’re delighted to offer a simple, effective way to reduce banner waste – and we invite your club / organisation to join us.
Thousands of banners are printed every year for sports events, clubs, and campaigns – but what happens after the event?
With a few small changes, they can be reused or repurposed.
We can all reduce waste and get more value from every banner we print.
Here’s how you can help:
Return & Reuse
Send your old roller banners back to Harlequin Printing & Packaging. They’ll strip the old graphics and re-skin the hardware for your next event – saving money and materials.
Hold on to the Hardware
Roller banner cassettes can often be reused. Even if the graphic is outdated or damaged, the base mechanism can be saved.
Design for Longevity
Avoid including dates or single-use event info. Keep your banner flexible for future use by using timeless branding.
Print Double-Sided
Maximise your banner’s use by printing on both sides – perfect for rotating between events or sharing multiple messages in one product.
Know the Limits
Some pop-up and roll-up materials aren’t recyclable or upcyclable due to cracking or creasing. That’s why planning ahead makes all the difference.
As well as this service enabling you to make your branding more sustainable, Harlequin can support in a range of other areas and products. Visit their partner page and get in touch to find out more!
