WSA preparing its Strategic Plan for 2026 and beyond
The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is preparing its Strategic Plan for 2026 and beyond, and we want your voice at the heart of it.
We have hosted five-member consultation sessions to date, which have been insightful and helpful and we thank all those who have already contributed to this work.
Our mission in the current strategic cycle has been clear: To empower our members to be stronger and more successful, contributing towards a society fit for the future.
Our three strategic goals are;
- Collaborate – At the WSA we value partnership and the ability to connect our members with partners who can bring added value to the sector and help sport to thrive.
- Develop – We will develop and improve our services to members. Doing so will help the WSA grow. Continued collaboration is key to increasing resilience for ourselves and our members.
- Promote – We are the united and independent voice of Sport, we promote the value of the sector, and sport’s role in Welsh life. We will always act in the best interests of our sector, promoting how together we help to improve the health and well-being of our nation.
As you know, the WSA delivers a wide range of services, including business support, partnerships, training and education, and acts as the independent voice of the sector. We also create collaborative opportunities through the annual WSA Sports Industry Awards, Conferences, Communities, and webinars.

Your input will help shape a plan that reflects the needs and ambitions of our members, which we aim to publish in the early part of 2026.
