The Role

Triathlon Cymru is seeking an inspirational and strategically minded Chair of the Board to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and development. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of triathlon in Wales, champion participation and performance at every level, and ensure the sport continues to thrive across communities nationwide.

The Chair will provide strong and inclusive leadership to the Board, working closely with the Chief Executive, fellow Directors, partners, and stakeholders to uphold the organisation’s vision, values, and governance standards. As an ambassador for Triathlon Cymru, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening relationships across the sporting landscape, supporting innovation, and promoting a culture of integrity, inclusion, and excellence.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for sport and a commitment to good governance, who can bring strategic insight, sound judgement, and the ability to foster constructive collaboration.

Previous board-level experience and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing modern sporting organisations will be highly valued.
