WSA and Sportscover Europe announce partnership renewal to continue providing insurance solutions to sport & leisure

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is extremely excited to announce the renewal of its partnership agreement with insurance underwriters Sportscover Europe.

Based in the heart of the insurance market in the City of London, Sportscover Europe has grown to be a leading sports and leisure underwriting agency across Europe since its establishment in 1999.

Their insurance policies are also backed by large Insurers and the first-class security of the world’s best known insurance brand, Lloyd’s.

They combine unrivalled knowledge and expertise with a range of services across insurance, risk management and media to offer tailored accident, liability, property, travel and contingency insurance solutions for the sector.

Sportscover Europe have now been WSA partners for six years, in which time they have supported member organisations, their facilities, as well as coaches with a whole range of insurance options.

They have also been an invaluable part of the WSA’s support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, during which they were able to input their expertise and insight while offering guidance during an exceedingly challenging time for all our members.

Sportscover Europe CEO, Martin Crannis, stated:

“We’re very proud to renew our partnership with the WSA for a further 5 years.

“We remain fully committed to the sport and leisure sector in Wales. We have been working alongside the WSA team to provide a range of services to members, including risk management support and the sports coach portal in addition to our core business of insurance.

“We look forward to continuing working with the team at the WSA, and their ever-growing list of members, over the coming years.”

Meanwhile, WSA’s Commercial Manager, Tom Sharp, added:

“The WSA has been working with Sportscover Europe since 2016. The team feels like an extension of our organisation and has been of great value to us and our members, analysing risk and creating specific wordings to meet their precise requirements.

“Sportscover Europe provide invaluable insight to our member organisations at CEO level, helping us to ensure a robust and resilient sporting sector in Wales.”

We look forward to continuing our work with Sportscover Europe to collaboratively support the Welsh sport and leisure sector in the coming years.
