WSA enjoy FSB Awards 2023

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) was thrilled to attend the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Awards 2023 on Friday 24th March.

The WSA is hugely grateful to the FSB and the staff at the St. David’s Hotel in Cardiff for their wonderful hospitality and a brilliant occasion.

It was wonderful to be a part of a celebration of some of Wales best businesses in a variety of categories.

The WSA was very proud to have been nominated for the Service Excellence Award and, while disappointed not to pick up the award, would like to wholeheartedly congratulate Empower Translate for their victory and all of the other businesses that picked up awards on the day.

The WSA were thrilled to hear from the Wales’ Economy Minister Vaughan Gething, who welcomed finalists, and also discussed the Welsh Government’s Business Wales service, before handing over to BBC Wales’ Andrea Byrne to host proceedings.

Despite not winning in the respective category, the WSA is delighted to have received such recognition for the service and commitment provided to the membership base.

The WSA strive to lead advocacy and develop resilience across the sector, collaborating with members to develop supportive work and promote the excellent work they do throughout sport and leisure.

The WSA would like to remind members of the full extent of its member benefits, as the WSA continue to support the sector through incredibly challenging times; for example, the WSA Procurement Portal for Sport and Leisure represents a vital tool to make savings on a wide range of necessities and products, including energy. Not to mention, the WSA DBS checking service for sport & leisure – a service that not only protects the sporting sector but also heavily reduces costs too.
