WSA launches new four-year Strategy, Cefnogi Cymru i Symud
The WSA launched its new four-year strategy, entitled Cefnogi Cymru i Symud, on Monday 13 July.
From 2026 to 2030, the plan sets out an ambitious vision to strengthen sport and physical activity across Wales by enabling our members to be more successful, resilient and connected.
As the independent voice of Welsh sport and physical activity, the WSA will champion the sector through advocacy, collaboration and development, ensuring that its member organisations delivering sport and physical activity have the support, influence and opportunities they need to thrive.
The strategy focuses on helping members build stronger organisations, access high-quality services, develop new partnerships, and increase their impact in communities across Wales.
Over this strategic cycle, the WSA will work to amplify the sector’s voice with decision-makers, strengthen connections across sport, government and partner organisations, and expand services that improve sustainability, governance and operational resilience. The strategy also places a strong emphasis on innovation, inclusion, safety, environmental sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion, and the Welsh language. Building on significant achievements from the previous strategic cycle, the WSA aims to ensure that by 2030 Welsh sport and physical activity is stronger, more connected , safer and better equipped to create healthier, more active communities across the nation.
