The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is delighted to welcome ATHLEET to our network of members as an Associate Member.
ATHLEET is a platform that revolutionises team sports by providing coaches with unprecedented visibility into player mental performance and team dynamics between sessions.
Presenting the tools to strengthen player welfare, culture and performance, it serves as the first mental performance intelligence system designed for grassroots and amateur sport.
The platform measures, analyses, and delivers actionable insights into player mindset, mental wellbeing, and team culture – critical factors that determine long-term success but typically remain invisible.
A Welsh-founded company co-created by former Wales Rugby 7’s international Aled Jenkins, ATHLEET strives to improve standards, wellbeing, and development across sport in Wales.

Reflecting on his journey, Jenkins said:
“Having grown up in Welsh rugby and having the privilege of representing my country, I’ve seen first-hand how sport shapes people beyond the game. ATHLEET was born from a desire to give something back. We want to help coaches and players across Wales strengthen the culture, connection and wellbeing that underpin real performance.”
They are already supporting multiple Welsh clubs, universities and regional academies, collaborating with the likes of Cardiff Uni, Swansea Uni, the Ospreys Academy and WRU Women’s PDC West.
Through membership of the WSA, ATHLEET will aim to contribute to the national conversation around mental health in sport, share best practice and data-led insights with governing bodies and associations, and strengthen the support ecosystem available to Welsh sport as a whole.
CEO of ATHLEET, Damiaan van Zanen, commented:
“We’re proud to join the WSA network and contribute to its mission of supporting Welsh sport. As a Welsh-founded company, we want to use our data and insights to help governing bodies, clubs and coaches better understand the mental side of performance, ensuring every player at every level feels seen, supported and ready to thrive.”
