How digital ID checks have “streamlined” processes for users of WSA DBS service

2024 saw users of the Welsh Sports Association (WSA) DBS checking service (provided via Vibrant Nation) gain access to digital ID checks, with the new development already having an impact for two WSA Members.

Digital ID checks further the efficiency of the service, providing users with the option to undertake a fast and simple verification process from the comfort of their own home.

The cost of the digital ID check is £10, which is cheaper than the previous in-branch Post Office verification.

Canoe Wales and EMD UK, both WSA Members and beneficiaries of the discounted Member rates on the DBS service, are two organisations that have already taken advantage of digital ID checks as part of their processes.”

Kerry Skidmore, Lead Safeguarding & Equality Officer at Canoe Wales, commented:

“I have found the process very simple to use. Once Vibrant Nation has applied the digital ID checker to the account, you just need to check a box to apply it for an application. It has made the DBS checking process much more streamlined and time efficient.

Meanwhile, Instructor Support Officer at EMD UK, Lianne Barlow, added:

“Setting up a digital DBS check with Vibrant Nation is so quick and simple. Thank you so much to Steff for all your help, fantastic customer service as always.”
