Andrew Howard joined the Welsh Sports Association (WSA) as Chief Executive Officer in August 2022, leaving his role as Head of Competitions at the Football Association of Wales.
Andrew spent nearly two decades at the FAW, 13 years of which were spent in the role he left to join the WSA. In this post, Andrew was responsible for the management of domestic football in Wales and has successfully implemented some transformational change over this time, notably the delivery of a £5m 3G project and a review of the National League structures, both of which were key strategic objectives in the FAW’s vision for stronger and more sustainable clubs.
As well as his prominent involvement in the FAW, one of the WSA’s largest members, Andrew has also volunteered on the Executive Committee of one of the WSA’s smallest members, the Welsh Pétanque Association (WPA).
