Team Wales set for prime-time spotlight on S4C

Welsh-language broadcaster S4C has announced it will air a two-hour live show every evening throughout the Commonwealth Games, ensuring the flagship event is available free-to-air for Team Wales fans and Welsh audiences to support their heroes this summer.

Lauren Jenkins – the face and voice of WSA’s major events – will anchor the nightly programme, while Alun Williams will report from the heart of the action inside the competition arenas.

In addition to the live broadcasts, coverage will be available on S4C Clic and across its social media channels, ensuring Team Wales fans can stay connected to the action at any time of day.

The WSA was delighted to attend the official launch at Cardiff City Stadium, where Team Wales Chair Gareth Davies said:

“This Landmark coverage is a huge boost for Welsh sport and also Wales as a Nation, and in Glasgow we hope to inspire the next generation.

“Welsh language is at the heart of who we are, our culture and identify so having the opportunity to tell the story of Team Wales through the Welsh language is wonderful.”

The Games will take place in Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August 2026 and will feature ten sports, including swimming, athletics, cycling, gymnastics and boxing. Team Wales is set to announce its squad on Friday, 19 June.
