Netball Head Coach – Cardiff Metropolitan

Part time, 16 hours per week. Fixed term until 31/05/2027

We work in partnership with a range of local, regional and national partners to develop and manage high quality sport facilities including, the National Indoor Athletics Centre, Tennis Centre and Archers Arena on our Cyncoed Campus along with a number of 21st Century Schools across the City.

We’re now seeking a Netball Head Coach to lead the planning and delivery of the Netball programme inclusive of the 1st and 2nd BUCS teams. You’ll be a key point of contact between Head of Sport System, the Students’ Union, Club Committee and Performance Services Team in the development and support of the performance programme and it’s connection to the wider club.
This is an exciting opportunity for a coach with experience of working at a performance level to work within a programme competing at the top of university structure. You will be working with student athletes competing across university, representative and pathway programmes and be supported by established support services and approaches through our performance sport environment.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Performance Programme Planning: Lead the day-to-day planning and delivery of the Netball performance programme, ensuring training, competition and player preparation align with BUCS demands and contemporary coaching practice.
- Netball Preparation and Match Performance: Plan, coach and manage all aspects of netball preparation, including weekly training cycles, game models, tactical frameworks, opposition analysis, competition planning and match-day delivery.

- Mondays 5-6.30pm
- Friday 7-9am
- Wednesday matches (10 league matches + cup) – start time will vary but will likely be afternoon/evenings.
