Mid Wales Sport Partnership is looking for a Strategic Lead – Active Communities. This exciting new role is ideal for a strategic thinker who excels at building partnerships, connecting people and organisations around a shared purpose, and using insight and learning to drive sustainable change. The purpose of this role is to:
1. Lead the development of active communities across Mid Wales by strengthening the resilience, capacity and sustainability of community networks, local organisations and opportunities for sport, physical activity and movement, complementing and adding value to existing local delivery.
2.Strengthen partnerships and connectivity across the sport, physical activity, movement and wider system, bringing together partners and stakeholders to develop collaborative solutions that promote equity and improve community outcomes.
3.Support the Mid Wales Sport Partnership (MWSP) in developing and applying insight, understanding and learning to strengthen whole-system approaches to sport, physical activity and movement across Mid Wales, ensuring future investment, planning and decision-making is informed by local need and shared priorities.
4.Promote and advocate the partnership’s work locally, regionally and nationally, championing the role of community sport and physical activity in improving health, wellbeing and community resilience across the region.
