Welsh Athletics is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Chair to help lead the organisation through its next stage of development. We are looking for an experienced individual who is capable of applying independent judgement and work with other Board members to ensure continued growth for the sport of Athletics across Wales.
Time commitment: – The Welsh Athletics Board normally meet 5 times per year, and Board members may be asked to sit on sub-groups from time to time. As mentioned it is likely that the Chair of Welsh Athletics, will also sit on the Board of UK Athletics. Please contact [email protected] for more information on the UK Athletics commitment. The Chair would also be expected to have regular discussions with the CEO of Welsh Athletics, and attend the occasional meeting with Sport Wales.
Welsh Athletics head offices are located at the Cardiff International Sports Campus, with most Board meetings being held remotely. This is a voluntary role with all reasonable travel and subsistence expenses fully reimbursed.
