Weightlifting Wales taking advantage of WSA Content & Comms Plus

In November 2022, the Welsh Sports Association (WSA) launched its latest Membership Plus package, Content & Comms Plus.

Following the success of the first two Membership Plus packages, Advocacy Plus and Finance Plus, the WSA were incredibly excited to launch the latest bolt-on.

Content & Comms Plus offers organisations regular and high-quality content across various platforms, as well as support with one key event per year.

From written content showcasing the power of the member sport and community stories, to in-person attendance and activity throughout a key event in order to keep member supporters abreast of the excitement – the WSA’s Content & Comms Plus offer can be of great value to your organisation!

This is a brilliant, cost-effective crutch for our members’ social media and content requirements – and one that presents a great opportunity having entered a new year with an increasingly challenging financial backdrop.

Weightlifting Wales, a Full Member of the WSA, are one organisation that have decided to take advantage of this offer.

Their Strategy and Development Manager, Simon Roach, commented:

“We are excited to be working closely with the WSA on this project. We are already a few weeks into the collaboration and the service has been excellent.

“Previously, we had limited resources to manage the NGB’s content and social media, let alone develop this important area which is vital to showcase the sport and engage with the membership and wider communities.

“We had discussed internally about creating a new part-time employed position,” Simon explained. “However, the Content & Comms Plus package was by far the more attractive option. It meets our requirements and expectations to grow the WW’s content and social media and at a very affordable option – this is important to us, due to the current financial challenges.”

Meanwhile, the WSA’s Commercial Manager, Tom Sharp, added:

“We are delighted to be working with the Weightlifting Wales team on their content & social coverage.

“The package is a cost-effective solution that is designed to improve efficiency and free up time and resource so the team at Weightlifting Wales can focus on delivering their strategic objectives for their membership.”
