Would you know what to do if someone on your sports team got injured?

From sprains and strains to medical emergencies, accidents can happen in any sporting environment in any sports team. In these situations, knowing how to respond is incredibly important.

That’s why WSA partner St John Ambulance Cymru offers a Sports First Aid Course, teaching delegates the first aid skills needed to respond to sports injuries and emergencies.

What does the Sports First Aid Course cover?

During this 1-day, hands-on course, delegates will learn how to respond to situations including:

  • Severe bleeding
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Head injuries
  • Chest pain
  • Managing shock
  • Responsive and unresponsive casualties
  • Extremes of heat and cold

Who is the course for?

The Sports First Aid Course is suitable for anyone involved in sport, including coaches, players and volunteers, across all types of sporting activities.

Why choose St John Ambulance Cymru?

Across the UK, St John Ambulance is one of the Voluntary Aid Societies recognised by the HSE as a standard setter for first aid training. Our qualified trainers ensure our courses are practical and engaging.
