WSA supporting clubs with their Sport Wales Energy Saving Grants
WSA and partners 2buy2 are supporting sports clubs across Wales, offering discounted rates on energy surveys for those sports clubs progressing with the Sport Wales Energy Saving Grant.
Applications have recently moved into Stage 2 for the Energy Saving Grant, with clubs able to apply for up to £25,000 towards energy‑saving upgrades including:
- Solar panels and battery storage
- Insulation and building fabric improvements
- New windows and doors
- Efficient heating and hot water systems
- Low‑energy lighting
- Sustainable water systems (e.g., rainwater harvesting)
The process includes having an energy survey as part of the stage 2 application.
Stage 2 opened at 10.00am on the 22nd July and will close at 3.00pm on the 7th October 2026, with decisions being made late October 2026. If an application is unsuccessful in Stage 2, Sport Wales will pay 50% of the energy survey cost undertaken.
