WSA Sports Industry Awards entries now closed, with panel shortlisting this week!
Entries for the Welsh Sports Association (WSA) Sports Industry Awards 2023 are now closed, and a panel with be getting together on Tuesday 18th April in order to produce a shortlist of award nominees.
The WSA are absolutely blown away by the positive and proactive response from the membership base and beyond, and would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who submitted projects.
We are delighted to have had such strong entries across the board, and are thrilled to have seen nearly 100 applications come through!
There will be three nominated projects per award category, with shortlists set to be announced on the 21st of April and winners eventually being announced on the evening of June 8th as we come together at the Parkgate Hotel to celebrate the best in Welsh sport and leisure.
Three organisations will be selected as nominees in each of the following categories:
- Best Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiative, sponsored by Acorn by Synergie
- Best Initiative to Promote Women in Sport & Physical Activity, sponsored by Complete Background Screening – who are also headline sponsors for the event!
- Best Innovation Award, sponsored by Sportscover Europe
- Best Commitment to the Welsh Language, sponsored by Tinint
- Best Sustainability initiative, sponsored by Spindogs
- Best Social Impact initiative, sponsored by 2buy2
- Best Collaboration initiative (Participation, Sponsorship or Member engagement)
- Most Influential campaign (Communications, PR or advocacy), sponsored by Loosemores Solicitors
The awards will recognise and Promote the initiatives and successes of WSA members, while also communicating best-practice models and strategies that are helping the Welsh sport and leisure sector to Develop.
