Community Director
Welsh Boxing is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our Board as Community Director.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to help shape and deliver our Community Strategy, ensuring boxing continues to make a positive impact in communities across Wales.
We are looking for someone with:
✔ An understanding of community strategy and its importance within sport
✔ Knowledge and experience of engaging and empowering children and young people
✔ Excellent understanding of community projects and initiatives
✔ Strong communication and influencing skills
✔ The ability to listen effectively, ask probing questions and challenge constructively
✔ Experience of chairing meetings or serving on an advisory group (desirable)
✔ A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and safeguarding
Key responsibilities include:
🔹 Working with the Head of Community Boxing to deliver the Community Strategy
🔹 Chairing the Community Sub-Committee and ensuring effective governance
🔹 Reporting progress and challenges to the Board
🔹 Representing the Board on community matters where required
🔹 Providing specialist community advice to support strategic planning and leadership
📍 Voluntary position
⏰ Time commitment: Approximately 2–3 hours per week (varies throughout the year)
📅 Closing date: Friday 3 July 2026 at 5pm
🎤 Interviews: Week commencing Monday 13 July 2026
