“Gamechanger”: The value of Content & Comms Plus for the GTCT
Just under 18 months ago, the Geraint Thomas Cycling Trust (GTCT) began utilising the WSA Content & Comms Plus service and has since found it to be a “gamechanger” for the charity.
Within the service, the WSA has undertaken regular scheduling and posting across social media platforms and liaised with many of the charity’s beneficiaries to showcase the power of its work.
From featuring the wonderful social impact stories made possible by the GTCT’s work, to delivering a comms plan around G’s Final Race Raffle which supported the charity in raising funds around last year’s Tour of Britain, Content & Comms Plus has been of huge benefit to the GTCT.

“Working with the WSA enabled the trust to take its social media efforts to a new level of professionalism,” confirmed GTCT Trustee Wayne Brown, “with better assets, regularly posting and improved analytics.
“The WSA overhauled our social presences, took us on to new channels and maintained regular drops of content on our website, which ultimately moved all our measurement metrics in a positive direction,” he continued.
The Content & Comms Plus service has been key to raising awareness of the Trust, digitally.
Over the past 12 months (from April 2025 to April 2026), the GTCT’s Facebook page has experienced a 5,400% increase in content interactions compared to the year prior, while impressions on Instagram have gone up by 100% to over 213,000.
These examples demonstrate how the service has enabled more regular, consistent and quality messaging across digital platforms for the GTCT.

“The service has been hugely valuable,” Wayne told us. “We’ve been able to be share success stories and attract new recipients’ applications via the power of social.
“The WSA team has therefore helped grow our reach and improved the effectiveness our charitable works. Max (Parsons, who leads on the Content & Comms Plus service) has been a great partner, leading our social comms diligently, operating autonomously and following up with Trustees and Grant recipients to keep the content flowing.
“This was particularly effective,” stated Wayne, “around the time of our recent raffle which generated an additional £18k to mark Geraint’s retirement from professional bike racing.
“I would recommend working with WSA; it’s been a gamechanger for the GTCT!”
