Localgiving helps small charities and community groups in Wales explore online fundraising

Are you interested in building sustainable income streams, developing your supporter base and raising unrestricted funding for core costs?

Online fundraising is very easy and very cost effective. Localgiving works with over 350 groups across every county in Wales to raise awareness and funding for their causes, as well as unlocking lots of match funding. This help includes creating a donation page, running online appeals and encouraging individuals to fundraise for you.

Over the last 10 years, Localgiving has helped charitable organisations to raise over £21 million online UK wide, and in August 2018, thanks to generous funding and support from Big Lottery Wales and Garfield Weston Foundation, Localgiving launched the third year of its Wales Development Programme. The programme has given 350 groups in Wales a free year of help, and whilst all these free places have now been filled, they are also offering an ongoing discount of 25% off membership.

The opportunity includes:

  • 25% off a year’s Localgiving membership (usually £96) for local voluntary & community groups. This also gives all groups access to gift aid – an extra 25% – on all of their donations, whether they are registered charities or not. This is great news for social enterprises, community groups and CICs
  • Opportunities for grants & match funding as well as prizes throughout the year. See Magic Little Grants – https://localgiving.org/magic-little-grants/ for more info on the 2020 programme
  • A package of training on online fundraising and 1:1 support from a dedicated, locally-based Localgiving team member.
