WSA partners supporting clubs with audits for Sport Wales Energy Saving Grants
WSA partners 2buy2 can support sports clubs across Wales with the process for the Sport Wales Energy Saving Grant, offering discounted rates on energy audits.
Applications have recently opened for the Energy Saving Grant, with clubs able to apply for up to £25,000 towards energy‑saving upgrades including:
- Solar panels and battery storage
- Insulation and building fabric improvements
- New windows and doors
- Efficient heating and hot water systems
- Low‑energy lighting
- Sustainable water systems (e.g., rainwater harvesting)
Expression of Interest is open from Thursday 21 May – Monday 29 June 2026, with full applications due by 1 July (Stage 1) and 7 October (Stage 2).
WSA partners 2buy2 can support clubs reduce running costs and boost sustainability thanks to the Energy Basket, and can of course take advantage of discounted rates on energy audits too, supporting with the second stage of the Energy Saving Grant process.
WSA partners Floodlighting & Electrical can also support clubs with low-energy lighting solutions, as well as floodlights!
Organisations and sports clubs are encouraged to select a cost‑effective and reliable partner to ensure the energy savings grant is used effectively.
