Wales strategic volunteering project: Solutions workshop – Sported

Do you want to be part of shaping the future of volunteering in Wales?

We are looking for your input, knowledge and experience in shaping the solutions to strengthen board and committee volunteering in Wales.

Recent research funded by WCVA found that:

• 78% of groups find it hard to recruit volunteers to boards of management
• 89% of groups stated that they would benefit from extra support to help recruit skilled volunteers
• Less than half of volunteers agreed that they have effective support for their role at board, committee and trustee level.

Join us in on Zoom on Tuesday 12th November at 6pm to make a difference and have your voice heard.

In this session, we will share light headline findings of new primary research into the issues facing the capacity and diversity of volunteers on boards and committees in the sport and voluntary sectors in Wales. We will then focus the majority of the session listening to your opinions on how to best support and develop future solutions to strengthen these critical volunteering roles for a stronger and more resilient sector.

Byddwn wedyn yn canolbwyntio’r rhan helaeth o’r sesiwn ar wrando ar eich barn ar y ffordd orau o gefnogi a datblygu datrysiadau ar gyfer y dyfodol a fydd yn cryfhau’r rolau gwirfoddoli hanfodol hyn i gael sector cryfach a mwy gwydn.
