Impetus Dance to host 2024 Welsh Open Inclusive Dance Championships
Welsh Sports Association (WSA) members Impetus Dance CIC are collaborating with sponsors RMA Sport, partners Inclusive Dance UK, and Bridgend County Borough Council to host the 2024 Welsh Open Inclusive Dance Championships in Bridgend this March.
Taking place on Sunday 3 March at Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen in Bridgend, it will be the second edition of the competition which welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, no matter how they identify themselves.
The event aims to promote inclusive and para dance sport in Wales and the UK, showcasing the importance of para and inclusive Dancesport within the sporting industry.
The event will see inclusive and wheelchair dancers and athletes participating to compete for Gold in ballroom, Latin and freestyle categories, either as single, duo, combi or group entries. It promises to be a memorable day filled with glitter, sequins and pure talent.
Although this is a live in-person event, the team are also encouraging video entries to their online event, urging more dance athletes with disabilities from across the world to take part.
Excitingly, there will be adjudicators from the Netherlands, England and Wales with support from Inclusive Dance UK and the British DanceSport Association, all watching with a close eye on the emerging talent coming from the UK.
Spectators can purchase tickets at just £3.50! Head to the Impetus Dance website to learn more and secure your seat.
