WSA recruiting for Independent Non‑Executive Director (Finance) to join Board
The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is seeking an experienced and values‑driven Independent Non‑Executive Director with specialist financial expertise to join our Board.
This voluntary role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic leadership of the sport and leisure sector in Wales. As a Board member, you’ll help guide our mission to create a Vibrant, Active Nation and empower our members to be stronger and more successful.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a fully qualified accountant with significant senior financial experience
- Has strong knowledge of financial governance, risk management and internal controls
- Brings prior non‑executive or committee-level experience
- Can provide strategic insight, constructive challenge and sound judgement
- Shares our values of being Agile, Collaborative and Trusted
About the role
- Four‑year term
- Approx. six Board commitments per year
- Opportunity to take a lead role in financial oversight and strategic financial input
- Be part of a committed, inclusive and forward‑thinking Board making a real impact across Wales
