Badminton Wales WSA Membership Testimonial

Kelly Aston MBE OLY is CEO of Badminton Wales, and has kindly revealed how Welsh Sports Association (WSA) membership has benefitted the organisation since its arrival.

Kelly told the WSA:

The services and support that WSA have readily available to its members are so helpful, and they’re my first port of call when in need. The partnerships that WSA secure are passed onto its members, and as part of Badminton Wales’ membership with WSA we, in turn, are able to pass on all of the great resources and support to our own members.

As a small organisation, the support that WSA membership has provided over the years has been invaluable – in particular over the past 2 years and the very challenging times the sport sector has faced. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the WSA has played a leading role in uniting the sector in its response to the challenges presented, hosting regular meetings with key officials and interpreting Welsh Government guidance to ensure a unified approach to Welsh Sports’ safe return.

I was particularly appreciative of the WSA teams involvement in a number of our Club Zoom calls when cascading Welsh Government Guidance out to our membership.

Over the years we have utilised a number of services where the knowledge and expertise to support us in any challenges that have come our way, in a timely and professional manner, has been hugely appreciated.

Partnership introductions have also enabled BW to livestream events, courtesy of Joymo, during strict regulations when spectators were not allowed.

The WSA Team are always at the end of the phone/email ready to support, and there to help find solutions to challenges as and when needed. I am hugely grateful to the WSA team and I would absolutely recommend membership, without a doubt.
