Pieces of value-added functionality within WSA membership

As part of our commitment to represent and support our membership base in order to help build a society that’s fit for the future, the Welsh Sports Association (WSA) membership offer contains a wide range of standard benefits – but there are other little features – pieces of value-added functionality – within our offering that can really support members.

Tasked with providing leadership, advocacy, and a gateway to business & governance services for the sport and leisure sector in Wales, the WSA strives to enable its members to become more resilient, more successful, and stronger.

Comms and marketing leads, this one’s for you – promote your organisations through the WSA!

The WSA Events Submission Page

Our Events Submission Page offers a fantastic opportunity for members to promote their activity, increasing interest and engagement, and potentially generating new streams of revenue. It’s a simple and effective tool for organisations to utilise in order to encourage fresh participation and coverage!

This value-added piece of functionality allows members to very simply promote their events and calendars to a guaranteed wider and different audience via the WSA website.

What easier way to let people know what national competitions are going on in your sport or what events your organisation is putting on? What easier way to prompt engagement in your activity and drive audience numbers? And what easier way to potentially facilitate an increase in income?

And it’s incredibly simple to use!

  1. Log-in to the membership area of the WSA website
  2. Select ‘My Dashboard’ in the top right of the page
  3. Select ‘Add Event’, which will take you to the page on which you can submit your events

The WSA team will subsequently review your event and put it up in the Events and Courses section of the website!

Please find the Events Submission Form here (please note you must be logged in to access this). Or, simple contact the WSA team with your events, and we’ll be more than happy to add them to our website!

WSA Vacancies Page

Much like the Events Submission page, our Vacancies page is a great and easy way of taking full advantage of the support the WSA strive to provide our membership base.

Not specifically listed in the core benefits of the membership offer, you can easily promote the opportunities that your organisation or club are offering – whether that be full-time employment, internships, voluntary work, or anything else – and, like the effects of using the Events Submission page, experience an increase in engagement with your post or listing!

Moreover, by advertising to the WSA network, you’ll instantly be connected with an audience of job-hunters that are passionate about and determined to work in sport and leisure!

To advertise your opportunities to a wider base and potentially attract more top-quality candidates, all you have to do is get in contact with the WSA team at [email protected] with any resources you want us to advertise – and we’ll do the rest! These roles will frequently be pushed into public view through our promotion of the Vacancies page via social media, while also being put out on our weekly newsletters.

It’s a real no-brainer!
