The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is looking for your input, knowledge and experience in shaping the solutions to strengthen board and committee volunteering in Wales.
Recent research funded by WCVA found that:
- 78% of groups find it hard to recruit volunteers to boards of management
- 89% of groups stated that they would benefit from extra support to help recruit skilled volunteers
- Less than half of volunteers agreed that they have effective support for their role at board, committee and trustee level.
Join us in Wrexham (Colliers Park) and Cardiff (Sophia Suite, Sport Wales) on 9th October 2024 at 16.00pm to make a difference and have your voice heard.
In this session, we will share headline findings of new primary research into the issues facing the capacity and diversity of volunteers on boards and committees in the sport and voluntary sectors. The session aims to develop future solutions to strengthen these critical volunteering roles for a stronger and more resilient sector.
